Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit Original Animation Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1951). "No, no! Not my beautiful bird house!" A fretful White Rabbit chases after Dodo in this original animation layout drawing who is too busy breaking down White Rabbit's house in order to start a fire and smoke out the stuck, overgrown Alice. From Walt Disney's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's (1832 – 1898) acclaimed stories Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, theatrically released almost 75 years ago on 7/28/1951, the film follows a young girl named Alice who finds literature without pictures to be a bore and would rather live in her imagination. One day, during a lesson she notices something peculiar out in the distance, a white rabbit wearing a jacket and using a pocket watch. Alice with all her courage chooses to follow the rabbit even down a dark hole that leads to an extraordinary world that has no rules, unless you know how to make them. White Rabbit's hand-drawn figure, measuring 5" x 4.25", is rendered in graphite with colored pencils on 3-peg hole animation paper and can be seen at the 24:59 timestamp of the animated film. The overall condition is Good to Very Good with light age-related toning, and mild handling wear and edge wear. From the archives of Disney Legend Manual Gonzales.
