Alisa Gorelova; Untitled, 2017; canvas on stretcher, acrylic, silver leaf; 100х70 cm;

[ translate ]

In her works, Alisa concerns various topics studying the border between the man and the outside world, between the body and another body. The artist works with diverse techniques but prefers painting and graphics.
Alisa also studies physicality in which violence transforms into sensuality and aggression turns into a weakness.
The issue of the border is crucial for Alisa’s art: where do the borders of the body end? When does the body turn into abstraction?
Where does the painting should end and can the image go beyond the canvas?
Alisa Gorelova’s artworks are often shown as pictorial abstractions seizing all free space and spectator’s attention.
