[ translate ]

Very rare set of 6 tubular frame cantilever chairs. Architect Alison Smithson drew them for the design of these Robin b-6 chairs. (1990) The visual idea behind it is that of a robin on an old-fashioned TV antenna. Hence the name: Robin. (You can see the tail pointed upright) Materials: chromed steel frame with black-sprayed birch plywood seat. Sizes: Width: 55 cm Depth: 57 cm Height: 81 cm Seat height: 45 cm The set is in very good and used condition from the first owner. There is some damage to the varnish at the height of the table and there is some small varnish damage due to normal use. About TECTA: The workshop of the German TECTA is responsible for very remarkable design. Founded in 1956, it gained a reputation for relaunching great furniture classics. Designed by artists such as Gerrit Rietveld, El Lissitzky, Al Hansen and Marcel Breuer. In addition, re-editions of the famous Bauhaus collection appear in 1972. Not the least of the international design and architecture world sign up for this either: Jean Prouvé, Maximilian Seitz, Alison and Peter Smithson, and Stefan Wewerka. The latter also left their signature at TECTA themselves. The world class is still recognisable in the appearance and comfort of the many furniture elements. !
