"two simple patterned layers create an optical illusion of movement when you pass by" Interstice Interstice -the in between space- is a room divider made out of two graphical layers, resulting in an animated movement when you pass by. The double layer of cutout patterns creates a play of lines and shapes with a surprising, almost psychedelic effect. The room divider can be fabricated in various materials (metal, fabric, bio-plastics) , fitting its application in a specific interior. Unique work of art, made for an exhibition in Paris. Made of two layers of black paper with patterns hanging in front of each other. Because of the cut-outs there is a line play on it, the panel looks different from every angle and when you walk past you see a moiré effect movement. Unique work, only one was made. To be hung in front of a wall or loose in space.
