All-Story Cavalier Weekly - "The Beasts of Tarzan" Group of 5 (Frank A. Munsey Company, 1914). Condition: Average Apparent VG. Includes May 16th, May 23rd, May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th, 1916 issues, forming the complete five-part serial "The Beasts of Tarzan" by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The May 16th issue features an early Tarzan cover, as well as Rex Stout and Zane Grey serials continuing from Cavalier. "The Beasts of Tarzan" was third Tarzan novel/serial, and the second published in All-Story, following Tarzan of the Apes two years prior. We have only offered the May 16th, May 23rd, and June 6th issues once before, and have never before offered the May 30th or June 13th issues, underscoring the incredible rarity of this set. As well, though previous copies were unrestored, they were lower-grade than any of these with far less eye appeal. All issues except the May 30th issue have some degree of restoration, with spine reinforcement, pieces added to spines, and/or glue to the spines at the cover interiors. The May 16th, June 6th, and June 13th issues all have paper tape or paper tape residue along the spines and covers. The May 23rd issue has glue to the spine and tape to tears on both the covers and pages. The May 16th, May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th issues all have water damage and staining. The May 30th issue has large spine splits to both front and back covers. Still, this group is an incredible find in any condition, and all five are readily readable with sharp spines and good eye appeal.
