Beautiful bronze bust of a young lady with a hat, by the French sculptor Alphonse Nelson. This artist is known for his sculptures of women. This statue has a multi-colored patina and has a beautiful appearance with beautiful details. Alphonse Henri Nelson (1854 - 1919) is a French-American sculptor who studied in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and took part in the Paris Salon in 1882. This bust was cast by the Brussels bronze foundry Luppens, the fondeur stamp is on the side of the foot. Dimensions: 51 cm high, 25 cm wide and 15 cm deep. The statue is in very nice condition.
