An excellent and early example of Aalto chair designs. This form differs from the small production of similar chairs produced in 1933 in that the angle of the seat is steeply pitched to the floor, relating to an upholstered lounge chair from the same year.

Applied manufacturer's label to underside 'Finmar Ltd. Made in Finland'.

Condition Report: Example shows advanced wear to all surfaces and has been re-stained at some point. Front right corner of seating shows a two inch repair to veneer. Small losses along front edges of each rail. Chair has a visible lean to right side and will likely not bear much weight in use. Overall attractive vintage appearance with honest wear in keeping with age.
