Amazing Fantasy #15 UK Price Variant (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages. One of the finest known copies of the UK price variant of the Silver Age's most valuable comic book! It's much rarer than its US counterpart, and glaringly rarer in higher grades. CGC has certified over 3,800 copies of the common US 12¢ version, but only 81 copies of the UK version as of January 2024! Even more startling is the dearth of higher graded copies of the UK variant. CGC has certified 68 copies of the US version in FN+ 6.5 to date and 168 copies in higher grades, with four earning 9.6 grades at the top of the census. But only two copies of the UK variant have earned a higher grade than our offering, and barely, at FN/VF 7.0. The combination of rarity and near-highest graded certified copy makes this a candidate to go where no other 6.5 copy -- US or UK -- has gone before! The origin and first appearance of Spider-Man also has the first appearances of Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko collaborated on the breathtaking cover art, with Ditko beginning his historic run as Spidey's primary story artist.
