CATALOGUE NOTES: Designer and ceramicist Ambrogio Pozzi was born in Varese, Italy, and was educated in Faenza, which from the fifteenth century has been a centre for ceramics manufacture. One of his designs for tableware is in the collection of MOMA, New York. Versions of the present distinctive design were exhibited in Pozzi's home town of Varese, in a retrospective exhibition entitled Ambrogio Pozzi. Tra arte e design at the Museo Enrico Butti, in 2013
