Amédée Ernest Lynen (1852-1938) - Opbouw van de jaarmarkt

Rare large watercolor by the Belgian painter, illustrator and writer: Amédée Ernest Lynen (1852-1938) .
He enrolled at the Brussels Art Academy, where he was a student of Paul Lauters and Joseph Stallaert. In 1880 he was co-founder of the artistic group L'Essor, which had split from the academy. In 1892 he also became co-founder of L'Essor's successor Pour l'Art. [1] In 1895, Lynen founded the Compagnie du Diable-au-corps, an artistic association that organized theater and poetry events and which existed until at least 1899. [2] This group published a satirical newspaper entitled Le Diable au Corps. He was also a member of the Société Royale Belge des Aquarellistes and the Cercle des Aquarellistes et des Aquafortistes Belges.
His work can be found in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
