The rectangular top consists of three joined planks with breadboard ends featuring visible dowel joinery. The top is designed with a sliding mechanism that allows the two halves to pull apart along dark-stained internal runners. The table is supported by a trestle base consisting of two wide, tapered slab pedestals joined by a flat lower stretcher shelf. The pedestals rest on stepped rectangular plinth feet.
