A 19th century American Banjo clock. 8-day weight driven time only movement with a painted Iron dial and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with half round moldings, Gilded Brass Eagle finial over a molded Brass dial door, tapered throat panel with reverse painted glass flanked by shaped Brass side arms, lower door with a reverse painted "Mt. Vernon" glass. Refinished case with minor wear, some dial flakes, touch-ups to glasses, replaced older finial, running when cataloged. 33 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
