American Brilliant Cut Glass Inkwell Shreve Sterling Top

This is an exceptional cut glass inkwell from the American Brilliant period. It is large with a tear drop shape. The inkwell is cut with pillow tusks and Russian. The turban hinged lid is marked sterling by Shreve Crump & Low Co. The base is cut with a rayed star. This piece is heavy and weighs 6.4 lbs.
