A Late 18th Century American Indian Maple Burl Effigy Bowl, Great Lakes Region. Oval form with raised effigy crest at either end, most likely representing the Manitou, and flattened base. Shows age, some scratches and wear to the finish, old 2" vertical crack in one side, some nicks and chips to the rim. 7 1/8" x 10" x 3 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $1,000-2,000
