American hand-stitched pieced cotton quilt, Pine Tree or Tree of Life pattern, with sashing, in colors of green and brown on a white ground with an off white muslin backing. 73 1/2" H x 74" W. Circa 1870. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
Condition Report: Scattered fading to colors with some scattered staining, overall good condition with light wear.
