in Japanese style with spot-hammered surface, the square pitcher embossed and chased with a panel on each side depicting female figures representing the four seasons, gilt interior, the branch-form handle spreading to leafy branches with copper berries, the conforming stand on bracket feet cast with prunus and applied with copper and brass plants, the largest branch supporting three birds
marked on bases and both with date code M, the pitcher numbered B95 and engraved Ex., the stand with retailer stamp for Theodore B. Starr

Condition Report:
