American silver ladle of southern interest made by Theodore Evans & Co., New York, dated 1857, retailed by Hayden & Whilden, Charleston, South Carolina, threaded, engraved with bright cut initials TPA and with heraldic crest; marked: TE & CO 1857; 5; HAYDEN & WHILDEN; L13 1/2", and 8.4ozT

Other Notes: Engraved with crest of the Alston family of South Carolina, with initials believed to be that of Thomas Pinckney Alston (c.1795-1861).
Condition: Condition statement: Good, with minor age typical usage wear, light scuffs, and a small nick to top of handle. Marks and engraving good.
