The first described item shows part of Honshu, North of Edo, and the south coast of Hokkaido, with roads, towns and fortifications. The map dates from the Edo period of Musashi Kuni, a former province of Japan, which today comprises Tokyo Prefecture, most of Saitama Prefecture and part of the Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki and Yokohama.
