Amethyst Brandberg Area, Dâures Constituency, Erongo Region, Namibia 7.1 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm (2.79 x 0.98 x 0.90 in) The beauty of this Amethyst extends well beyond its exterior, with exceptional transparency revealing a remarkable world preserved within the crystal. This Amethyst ranges from remarkably gemmy to softly milky, creating exceptional depth throughout the specimen. The crystal displays smooth, lustrous faces with sharp edges that rise to a complete, well-defined termination. Delicate lilac Amethyst zoning is interwoven with Smoky Quartz phantoms and darker smoky bands, producing a striking internal landscape. Particularly fascinating are several preserved water inclusions, known as enhydros, suspended within the crystal since its formation and offering a rare glimpse into the mineral's growth history.
