Amethyst Plate Brazil Amethyst is one of the most recognizable and beloved minerals due to its gorgeous purple coloration. This large plate features copious amounts of well-formed, lustrous Amethyst points. The sharp crystals have a glassy appearance with a rich and regal purple coloration which have grown atop a solid basalt matrix. The base of each crystal is colorless and opaque, ascending to sharp terminations, with a rich purple hue and nice transparency. Many of the crystals have attractive, visible Iron inclusions. There is slight damage to some of the crystal points, but that is to be expected with such material. Overall, this is an elegant decorative Amethyst plate with an undulating form, great color, and intense luster.
