【Product details】

This exquisite Amida Buddha statue, hailing from the Meiji period, is a treasure of spiritual artistry. Carefully hand-carved and adorned with gold lacquer paint, the Buddha stands within an elegantly aged altar cabinet, a revered symbol of Pure Land Buddhism's promise of rebirth in the Western Paradise. The delicate craftsmanship is evident in the ornate halo and the layers of the lotus throne, displaying the finesse of historical Japanese art.

Despite the signs of time with some wear, discoloration, and peeling of the lacquer paint, the statue's presence remains potent and majestic. Notably, the internal decorations of the cabinet may show some instability, and there are signs suggesting that the Buddha has been lovingly repainted at some stage, enhancing its visual allure. The statue is unattached from its base, offering flexibility in presentation. For an accurate assessment of this high-value piece's current condition, please refer to the detailed images provided.

Dimensions of the statue with stand: approx. H 35. 5 cm W 10. 8 cm D 7 cm
Dimensions of the cabinet: approx. H 65 cm W 28 cm D 20. 5 cm
