Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Amlash, ca. early 1st millennium BCE. A solid, cast bronze goat, standing upon all four hooved feet and presenting strong features: long horns, perky ears, recessed eyes, a prominent snout, a hairy beard hanging below his chin, male genitalia, and a stubby tail. Size: 3" L x 3.375" H (7.6 cm x 8.6 cm); 3.75" H (9.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition Report: Old losses to tips of horns, left ear, and tips of hooves. Normal surface wear commensurate with age. Nice earthen and mineral deposits. Bronze has developed a gorgeous green patina.
