Amlash Bronze Sword Blade

Ancient Near East, Iran, Amlash culture, ca. 13th to 10th century BCE. A lengthy sword blade cast from bronze via the lost wax process. The double-edged blade tapers gradually to a pointed tip and has flared shoulder points flanking a narrow tang. Nice patina envelops the entire weapon in hues of green and brown. Size: 19" L x 2.125" W (48.3 cm x 5.4 cm)

Condition Report: Slight bending to overall form, with nicks and abrasions, light encrustations, and small area of folding to blade edge, otherwise intact and very good. Wonderful green, brown, and azurite patina throughout.
