Name: Mayaites aff. obesus
Age: Jurassic, Oxfordian
Provenance: Atsimo-Andrefana region, Madagascar
The ammonite measures 12. 6 cm and weighs 1. 10 kg. Note one crack has been filled at ventral side. It has anyway a beautiful conservation up to the umbilicus, with a breathtaking patchwork of colors. Umbilicus from the back side is not cleaned.
