Frederik van Strant II (the second) is a very famous silversmith from the 18th century who specialized in making miniatures such as these. The high quality of his works is reflected in the condition of the table bell. Frederik is the nephew of the famous 18th century silversmiths Frederik van Strant I (the first) , Willem van Strant and Daniël van Strant. A miniature of his cousin Frederik I is also included in this auction.
