An Aesthetic Movement ebonised dressing table, c.1870, in the manner of Bruce Talbert (1838-1881), with carved and gilded harebell details, surmounted by a gallery section flanked on either side by a tiled cabinet, the tiles manufactured by Malkin & Edge and depicting people playing chess and billiards, with a leather inset writing surface, an arrangement of five drawers, the drawers with line inlays and brass handles, raised on four turned legs, united by an undertier, 104.5cm wide 57cm deep 124cm high Condition Report: Missing finials, knocks and wear. Rubbing to the giulding, leather replaced. Losses to the line inlay.
