An African terracotta head, possibly from the Nok Culture, with incised lines around the domed 'head' and a narrow mouth in relief flanked by incised grooves. The piece is pierced from side to side, perhaps for suspension. 3 1/4 in (8.3 cm). Light deposits. Ex Wright collection, New York.
