An American studio art glass paperweight sculpture by Kent Ipsen (American, 1933–2012), dated 1972. Formed in an upright ovoid shape of thick, pale sea-green tinted glass, the piece encloses a suspended internal core of swirling amber and deep honey tones amidst scattered air bubbles. The fluid, organic interior reflects the experimental forms championed by the early Studio Glass Movement. The underside features a polished pontil and is inscribed with the artist's incised signature and date, Kent Ipsen '72.Heigth: 6 in.
