[ translate ]

Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use
Old splits and chips. Very few noticeable old repairs, One long drawer has a large chip from the right hand corner that has been glued back into place (see image)
Some minor old use of filler to disguise minor losses in very few places.
Very little sign of old worm. None immediately apparent.
Handles and escutcheons associated but of 18th century period. To reverse of drawer fronts where each position a handle is, there are impressed mark where the wire fixtures for the original handles would have been. The brass escutcheon plates are false i.e. there is no key hole or corresponding lock. There has only ever been a lock position to the top right hand drawer. This has been removed and neatly filled with a fillet of timber.
Drawer linings are original throughout. There is a neatly fitted stuck down paper liner to the interior floor of each drawer.
Legs all appear original and without breaks or splicing.
Rear panels appear original. The rear panel to the base section is dark stained.
Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
Overall a very attractive piece, in generally good and tidy condition for the age. The figuring to the drawer fronts in particular is very attractive.
