Full title: An Arabic astrological manuscript referring to the positioning of stars in relation to poetry, early 20th C.

Description:
Dim.: 21 x 13 cm

An Arabic manuscript on paper consisting of 28 pages and 15 lines to each page, arranged in two columns and written in black naskh script, ruled in gilt border, the opening biofolio with royal blue and gilt decoration.The book deals with the description of the fixed stars in poetic verses. It's attributed to Abu Ali, the son of the well-known astronomer Abu al-Hussein Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi (d. 376 AH), author of the "Suwar al-Kawabiyya", which appears to be relied upon in its material and arrangement. It was gifted by its author to the Shahanshah, the brother of His Excellency Fakhrallah. This manuscript contains 37 illustrations in which artistic aesthetics are emphasized.
