[ translate ]

An Art Deco Diamond Double Clip Brooch each half modelled as a swag, set throughout with eight-cut and baguette cut diamonds, in white claw and channel settings, total estimated diamond weight 3.00 carat approximately measures 4.2cm by 3.4cm

The brooch is in good condition, however there is an area of discolouration to the reverse of one of the clips. They fasten with their original hinged clips, which secure to a detachable modern brooch fitting, which features a pin and revolver catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 14.05 grams. CR made 18.08.26 A Condition Report is an honest expression of our opinion, not a statement of fact and is provided as a service to the Seller. All lots are available on public view ahead of an auction and we encourage people to see an item in person when possible. Our Condition Reports are not prepared by professional conservators, restorers or engineers, and are prepared with the naked eye unless otherwise stated. Works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. We accept no liability for the opinions expressed in any Condition Report. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
