An Art Deco diamond and synthetic sapphire plaque ring, c.1930,
possibly American. Three graduated emerald cut diamonds, milligrain set in a fingerline position to the centre. Pierced tapered box setting at each side with milligrain set old brilliant cut diamonds, with lines of calibré cut synthetic sapphires to the shoulders, with a border of old brilliant cut diamonds. A shallow gallery, chenier shoulders with hand engraved laurel guards and shoulders to a plain shank. Tested as approximately platinum. Head 18.90 x 15.40mm, 4.98g.
