An Art Deco sapphire and diamond plaque brooch, c.1920,
of elongated elliptical form. Three graduated circular mixed cut sapphires, grain set to offset milligrain box collets, and spaced along the bar, with a pierced lattice, milligrain set with graduated old European cut diamonds between the sapphires, with old Swiss cut diamonds to the other edge. Tested as platinum and approximately 18ct gold. A later safety chain fitted. A case by 'Kelsey's, Potters Bar and Barnet, Herts'. 73.00 x 9.00mm, 10.30g

Condition report:
Under 10x magnification slight wear to the crown facet edges.
The pin appears to be yellow with the rhodium plating worn at the tip.
The guards may also be yellow under the rhodium.
