An Art Nouveau French platinum and diamond brooch/pendant, of triangular open-work rose-cut diamond-set whiplash design, set at intervals with four claw-set old-brilliant-cut diamonds and suspending a diamond single stone matching drop, with detachable brooch fitting, French eagle head assay mark, to a neckchain, c. 1910, length 6cm French platinum jewellery before 1910 was not hallmarked. Platinum was officially recognised by the French government in 1910 and the gold standard eagle head was used until 1912 when the dog's head guarantee mark was introduced
Overall good condition, with minor abrasions commensurate with age, diamonds bright and lively approx 3.00-4.00 carats in total, I/J colour, Si/I clarity on average, 3.5cm x 5cm.
