19th/20th Century. An assembled icon comprising a Mexican retablo of the Holy Trinity, mounted in an Eastern European rectangular shadowbox frame/kiot with ornate foil liner. 13 1/4" x 12" x 3 1/2". Condition: the retablo with some surface wear; the kiot with glass missing, replaced with plastic, with some wormholes and wear commensurate with age; some of the foil border is partially detached. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
