Attributed to the Little Lion Class, Circa Late 6th-Early 5th Century B.C.with Apollo driving a quadriga.Height 8 inches.

Note: Hearst/Parke Bernet provenance is by repute, taken from the Donna Jacobs invoice. Repaired from several large fragments, with small areas of fill with overpainting on the backs of the horses and the undersides of the horses. Heavy encrustation and salt deposits, heaviest on the back side. A large old chip in the mouth rim, with several smaller flake chips. Repairs with visible fill also on the shoulder. Sticker residue and remnants of an old paper label on one side.
