An Attic red-figure lekanis, attributed to the Group of the Rodin Lekanis,
circa 380-360 B.C.,
the lower bowl with chevron decoration on each side, a cross between the base of each handle and spur, meander pattern along the edge of each handle, the lid with raised central knop, the upper disc decorated with petals around a central circle, the top of the lid consists of two scenes, each with a flying eros, conversing with a lady bearing a casket, her head turned back towards him, one side with a lidded box between them, ovolo decorating the straight edge where it meets the rim of the base, circa 380-360 B.C., 13.5cm high and 28cm diam
