Fluted bombé-form oval box with handles on either side. The domed lid can be turned over and used as a bowl. Later engraved with the arms of Prince Heinrich XXXV Reuß zu Köstritz. Interior gilt. H 7; W 13; D without handle 9 cm, weight 310 g.
Marks of Tobias Remshardt, 1721 - 1725.
Prince Heinrich XXXV, called Enrico (1887 - 1936), was a royal Prussian cavalry captain. Initially married to Princess Marie of Saxe-Altenburg, he married his brother's first wife, Princess Marie Adelheid zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, in 1921.
