An Australian boulder opal and diamond necklace. The pear-shape boulder opal cabochon, weighing 6.75cts, with old-cut diamond spacer and surmount, suspended from an integral trace-link chain. With report 78174-60, dated 20th August 2018, from GCS, stating Australia, no treatment. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Length 42cms. Weight 7.3gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Mount has a slightly irregular outline to opal.
Diamonds fairly well matched.
Diamonds with light and dark, scattered inclusions.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Opal in good condition with minor abrasions.
French assay marks to surmount, partially indistinct.
