Vesperbild carved in three-quarter relief in hardwood, with traces of original polychromy and partial gilding of details. Draped in a wide coat with sharply defined drop folds, Maria holds the body of her crucified son on her lap. Shrinkage cracks throughout, worm damage in places. Christ's right leg lost. Dimensions circa 48 x 32 cm.
