An Austro-Hungarian bachelor tea service, comprising coffee pot, milk jug and twin-handled sucrier, each of tapered form to stepped foot, with foliate decoration to body surrounding central monogram engraved cartouche, and conforming decoration to oval tray, the milk jug and teapot with wood handle, and additional wood finial to hinged lid of teapot. Austro-Hungarian assay marks for 800 standard on tray, with possible maker's mark for J. C. Klinkosch (JCK) on each item. Length of tray 13" (33cm), height of teapot 5.5" (14cm). Total gross weight 37.5ozt (1165.6 grams).
Condition Report:
- Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Finial to teapot is partly broken.
- Wooden handle to milk jug slightly loose, and both handles discoloured.
- Some silver polish residue.
- Marks to tray worn and partially illegible.
