An Aviator's Commemorative Badge (early pattern)Silvered non-ferrous metal with a dark patinated eagle on the front, the area around the swastika not cut-out (very rare!). A vertical wire pin with a roller hinge on the back. Instituted in 1936, the badge was awarded to flying personnel on their honourable retirement after holding a pilot's badge for at least four years or after 15 years of service.
