An Early Embroidered Fine Gauze Flounce or Possibly an Apron, as the sides and lower edge are scalloped and stitched in green, the upper edge has at some point been folder over and lightly hand-stitched to something else. Possibly a fine embroidery from India, certainly of quality, using silk threads, and metal threads which were possibly gold, now tarnished. A floral border meanders around the three finished sides and a similar spray of flowers fills each corner. Approx.44 inches or 112cm by 14.5 inches by 37cm.
