An Edwardian gold mounted sterling silver novelty cigarette case, London 1901 by Alfred Clark Modelled as a streamer trunk. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid, the exterior modelled to resemble latticed canvas or leather, the corner plated made of unmarked probably 9 carat rose gold. The back two engraved with initials, and the date 1920. Gilt interior to the lid, wood lined base. Fully marked to the base bezel, part-marked to the lid interior. Engraved to the front bezel CLARK 33 NEW BOND ST. Length – 16.1 cm / 6.4 inches
