Of rectangular form, the top and side panels in tortoiseshell with delicate piqué swallows, butterflies, floral swathes and foliate decoration in silver, gold and mother of pearl, resting on four scrolled feet, together with a comprehensive nine piece silver and tortoiseshell dressing table set by Elkington and Co, Birmingham 1925, consisting of two floral cut-glass jars, silver hinged lids and glass stoppers, laurel wreath design silver piqué inset into tortoiseshell lids, plus two matching circular silver boxes, wavy edged lids inset with tortoiseshell, the interiors padded and material lined, three raised feet to each base and a matching boxed set of four tortoiseshell backed and silver edged brushes and mirror.
