An Edwardian silver caster, the plain baluster body with girdle detail above a domed footed base, the removable cover with incised panel decoration pierced with cross motifs below a band of simple drilled holes. Hallmarked Gibson & Co Ltd., London 1904. Height including finial 8 (20.2cm), weight 7.77 ozt (241.7 grams). Dimensions: Condition Report: Displaying some general expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.Minor surface dints, including a couple around the top of the lid. Also minor knocks around the inner rim of the lid so that it is very slightly misshapen. Lid is a good tight fit. Hallmarks to main body are partly rubbed, especially the date letter. Marks repeated to inner rim of cover, these clear and legible.
