An Edwardian sterling silver ‘Art Nouveau’ jewellery casket, Birmingham 1902 by Horton & Allday Of trapezoid form, the canted sides with embossed decoration of stylised organic forms against a textured ground. The hinged lid with a stylised organic cartouche, engraved December 31st 1906. The interior fitted with pleated faux silk. Fully marked to edge and part-marked to lid. Together with a late Victorian hand mirror London 1899 by William Comyns, circular form with embossed cherub heads and clouds. (2) Casket length – 28.7 cm / 11.25 inches
