depicting a goddess, probably Isis or Nephthys.
Height 43 inches. Continental Decorative Arts Purchased from Superior Stamp & Coin Co. in Los Angeles circa 1988. A photo of the catalogue page showing the item is available. Water stains around the figure's bust, hips and ankles. Minor deteriorations, wood loss, wormholes, stains and encrustation consistent with age. Panel is ancient but has some over-painted areas probably retouched in the 19th or early 20th century. It is not easy to see which areas may have been overpainted, even under UV light.
