An Egyptian alabaster figure of the goddess Hathor, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, wearing a tight-fitting gown and a headdress composed of cow's horns and a solar disk. Her features are rounded and quite attractive, her figure full with arms pendant at her sides. H: 4 1/3 in (11cm). A very attractive and rare piece carved in semi-translucent stone with mineral deposits throughout. Mounted on a custom base. Ex Suffolk, UK private collection.
