An Egyptian alabaster kohl jar, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, the pear-shaped body with rounded bottom and two small lug handles, the rim rounded and the interior well-bored allowing light through the nicely banded stone. H: 1 1/2 in (3.8cm). A cute little jar carved from attractive stone and with light mineral deposits on outer surfaces. Ex Rice Collection, Southern California.
